How to make a blackboard
You can use International Blackboard Paint or International Magnetic Blackboard Paint to create a blackboard on a variety of surfaces. Either use on a piece of wood or metal, or straight onto a wall.

- Paint brush
- A clean cloth
Step by step
- Use low-tack masking tape to protect any areas you don't want to paint!
- If you are painting onto bare MDF, use MDF Primer beforehand. MDF is a very porous surface and may not take paint straight off.
- Apply with a brush or small roller and allow to dry as per instructions on the tin.
- Apply your top coat of Blackboard Paint using a brush or small roller. After drying, apply a second coat if necessary.
- Hold off from writing on the blackboard until the next day to ensure the paint has hardened.
