How to paint doors

Step by step

• Thoroughly clean and sand down the door or surface to be painted. If the surface has been previously painted, use Easy Sand, a rub-on, rub-off liquid sandpaper.
• Apply a coat of High Performance Exterior Wood Primer to prepare the surface. If the majority of the surface is sound and has been painted previously, simply prime the parts that are in need of some help like we did here- around the handle was particularly worn.
• Once you have chosen your colour scheme, apply a coat of 10 Year Exterior Gloss or 10 Year Exterior Paint Satin Finish using a natural bristle brush or roller suitable for solvent based paints.
• For the optimum finish and long lasting results, apply a second coat once the paint has dried.
