Alkali Resistant Primer Sealer

  • Surface preparation
  • Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and other contaminants. New plaster: Allow to dry thoroughly for at least 2 weeks. Remove dusty surface deposits by wiping with a damp cloth, and allow to dry overnight. Old plaster or brickwork: Remove all blistering or flaking material. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and allow to dry.
  • How to use
  • Stir well with a broad stirring stick to the bottom of the can. Apply two coats using a natural bristle brush or roller suitable for solvent-based paints.
  • Cleaning
  • Remove as much paint as possible from brushes before cleaning. For best results use Polycell Brush Cleaner.

Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
  • Trade tip
  • Suitable for use on interior plaster and brickwork. To avoid excessive absorption of the topcoat where salts are not a problem, use International Universal Primer Sealer. Wait until new plaster is fully dried out to see if salt staining appears.
