Bare concrete: Brush thoroughly with a wire brush. Remove all dust. Avoid the inhalation of dust by wearing a suitable face mask. The floor should then be sealed with a sealer such as International Concrete Sealer.
New concrete: Newly laid concrete must be allowed to dry for at least one month. Then treat as for bare concrete.
Bare brick or stone: Remove all loose and flaking material by wire brushing.
Previously painted concrete, brick or stone: Brush thoroughly with a wire brush to remove loose or flaking paint. Sand down and wipe clean. Treat any bare surfaces as above.
Very smooth and hardened surfaces: Contact the Customer Advice Centre for advice on preparation.
