Radiator Clearcoat

  • Surface preparation
  • Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and other contaminants. Radiators should be cold before painting. Radiators previously painted with emulsion paint: For best results, apply International Radiator Clearcoat onto freshly painted radiators.
  • How to use
  • Stir well with a broad stirring stick to the bottom of the can. Ensure the emulsion paint is completely dry before applying International Radiator Clearcoat. Apply 1-2 coats using a synthetic brush or roller suitable for emulsion paint. Leave the first coat to dry for 4 hours before applying the second coat.
  • Cleaning
  • Remove as much paint as possible from brushes before cleaning with water.

Safety data sheets are freely available on the website or to users on request. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
  • Trade tip
  • Suitable for painted radiators only. Preferably leave emulsion paint to dry for a week, in order to ensure paint is completely dry before applying Radiator Clearcoat.
